The Sisterhood

The Sisterhood was a project initiated by Andrew Eldritch, frontman of the gothic rock band The Sisters of Mercy, as a means to fulfill contractual obligations during a dispute with his record label. The project was short-lived and is known primarily for its one album, "Gift," released in 1986. The music of The Sisterhood diverged somewhat from The Sisters of Mercy's style, incorporating more electronic and atmospheric elements. Despite the project's brief existence, "Gift" has gained a cult following among fans of Eldritch and The Sisters of Mercy. After the release of "Gift," Eldritch returned his focus to The Sisters of Mercy, which continued to be his primary musical outlet.
