Valérie Čižmárová was a Czechoslovak singer who became popular in the 1970s. Born on January 12, 1952, in Michalovce, she was known for her versatile voice and ability to perform in various musical genres, including pop, rock, and jazz. Čižmárová's career took off after she participated in several music festivals and competitions, which led to her recognition in the Czechoslovak music scene. She recorded numerous singles throughout her career but did not release full-length studio albums as was common for many artists in the Eastern Bloc during that time. Instead, her songs were often featured on compilation albums and various artists' releases. Her music continues to be celebrated by fans of classic Eastern European pop music. Valérie Čižmárová passed away on October 7, 2005.
