Cypress Hill is an American hip-hop group that formed in 1988 in South Gate, California. The group is known for being one of the first hip-hop acts to prominently feature Latin influences in their music, which is reflected in both their beats and bilingual lyrics. The members include rapper B-Real (Louis Freese), rapper Sen Dog (Senen Reyes), DJ Muggs (Lawrence Muggerud), and percussionist Eric Bobo. Cypress Hill achieved major fame with their self-titled debut album "Cypress Hill" (1991) and further solidified their status in the music industry with their follow-up album "Black Sunday" (1993), which included the hit single "Insane in the Brain."
