Po ztrátě velké smlouvy s Atlanticem bylo album "Blast Tyrant" pro CLUTCH malým comebackem poté, co o tři roky dříve dostálo svému názvu "Pure Rock Fury". Na 54 minutách alba není ani náznak nudy, a to díky groovovým monstrům jako "Profits Of Doom", "Army Of Bono", funkové "Worm Drink", která těží především z variabilních varhan Neila Fallona, nebo baladické "The Regulator". Každá skladba na "Blast Tyrant" je přímo hitem a zárukou dobré nálady, i když CLUTCH rozhodně nedělají hudbu pro "nablýskané šťastlivce"... Doufejme, že CLUTCH jednou přerostou svůj status zasvěceného tipu v Evropě a dosáhnou slušných prodejů [jako ve své domovině]. Je jen málo kapel, které by si to zasloužily víc.
