Norah Jones has been a steady voice full of warmth and confidence for nearly twenty years, ever since her cozy 2002 debut album "Come Away With Me" became a familiar musical companion to millions of people around the world. Now this nine-time GRAMMY Award-winning singer, songwriter and pianist has recorded her first Christmas album, "I Dream Of Christmas," a delightful and soothing collection of timeless Christmas songs and poignant new compositions that explore the complex emotions of our times and our hopes for a holiday season filled with joy and togetherness. "I've always loved Christmas music, but until now I've never had the urge to make a Christmas album," says Norah. "Last year, I found myself listening to James Brown's Funky Christmas and Elvis' Christmas album on Sundays during lockout to calm myself down. In January 2021, I started thinking about doing my own Christmas album. That gave me something to work on and something to look forward to." The album "I Dream Of Christmas" was produced by Leon Michels and the line-up is outstanding: Brian Blade on drums, Tony Scherr and Nick Movshon on bass, Russ Pahl on pedal steel guitar, Marika Hughes on cello, Dave Guy on trumpet, Raymond Mason on trombone and Michels on saxophone, flute, drums and more.
