"Concert In Central Park" is SIMON & GARFUNKEL's first live album, originally released in February 1982. The concert was recorded at a free benefit in September 1981, where they performed for over 500,000 people. Proceeds were used for the upkeep of Central Park. The concert and album marked the beginning of a brief reunion between PAUL SIMON and ART GARFUNKEL. In addition to hits from their time as a duo, Central Park featured songs from their solo career and cover versions. In total, they played 21 songs, two of which did not make it onto the live album. Classics such as "The Sound Of Silence", "Mrs. Robinson" and "The Boxer" were included. The following year the album and film were released. The album reached number six on the Billboard 200 and went double platinum.
