Coco Collectief

Vocal quintet with pianist, formed in The Netherlands Five women -- all singers -- and a pianist have pooled their talents into a highly popular, innovative and talented ensemble. The singers, Wendeline van Houten, Merlijn Runia, Jannelieke Schmidt, Nikki Treurniet, Ellen Valkenburg and pianist Maurice Lammerts van Bueren all made each other's acquaintance at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. The ensemble's broad repertoire includes arrangements of Brahms to Cage to Piazzolla; their arrangement of Schubert's Winterreise was first performed in the winter of 2016. The ensemble can regularly be heard on Dutch radio and TV.
