Foscor, meaning "darkness" in Catalan, is a band from Barcelona, Spain, that was formed in 1997. Initially, their music was rooted in black metal, but over time they have evolved to incorporate a more progressive and avant-garde approach to their sound. Throughout their career, Foscor has released several albums that showcase this evolution. Their early work, including the album "Entrance To The Shadows' Village," released in 2004, displayed a raw and atmospheric black metal style. As they progressed, albums like "Those Horrors Wither" (2014) saw the band moving towards a more experimental and diverse sound. By the time they released "Els Sepulcres Blancs" in 2019, Foscor had fully embraced a dark and melodic form of progressive metal with rich atmospheres and intricate compositions. The band's ability to adapt and change over time has earned them a place within the European metal scene, with a dedicated following appreciative of their artistic journey.
