Steve Perry is an American singer and songwriter best known as the lead vocalist of the rock band Journey during their most commercially successful periods from 1977 to 1987, and again from 1995 to 1998. Perry's soaring tenor voice and emotive delivery became the defining sound of the band, contributing to their status as one of the world's most beloved rock groups. He was instrumental in crafting many of Journey's hit songs, including classics like "Don't Stop Believin'," "Faithfully," and "Open Arms."
