The Winery Dogs are a rock supergroup formed in 2012, consisting of Richie Kotzen (lead vocals, guitar), Billy Sheehan (bass guitar), and Mike Portnoy (drums). Each member of the band is a veteran musician with a rich history in the rock and metal scenes. Richie Kotzen is known for his solo career and stints with bands like Poison and Mr. Big. Billy Sheehan has been recognized as one of the top bassists in rock, having played with Steve Vai, David Lee Roth, and also being a long-time member of Mr. Big. Mike Portnoy is best known for his founding role in the progressive metal band Dream Theater.
