These Arms Are Snakes was an American post-hardcore band formed in 2002 in Seattle, Washington. The band consisted of Steve Snere (vocals), Ryan Frederiksen (guitar), Brian Cook (bass), and Chris Common (drums). They were known for their intense live performances and a sound that incorporated elements of post-hardcore, punk rock, and experimental music. These Arms Are Snakes released several albums during their career, including "Oxeneers or The Lion Sleeps When Its Antelope Go Home" in 2004 and "Tail Swallower and Dove" in 2008. They were signed to Jade Tree Records and later to Suicide Squeeze Records, through which they released much of their music. The band announced their breakup in 2010, leaving behind a legacy of innovation within the post-hardcore scene.
