Tree Machine Records

...It's not about weed, or the government, or technology...just trees and music. We started out in Bloomington, Indiana in 2010. Tree Machine Records is and always will be about producing meaningful albums to share with the world and local community. Whether we're currently releasing records or not, we always continue to support artists and manage public relations. We strive for a strong mix of unique indie rock and creative electronic/beats. We are always enthusiastic about diversifying recording practices to achieve new sounds, and we try to make use of recording spaces outside of a studio. Many, if not all, of our recordings encompass some form of progression or change both conceptually and emotionally. The drive for varying genres on the label is to progress and grow toward a common means through differing styles and musical cultures without stifling diversity. We hope to give each musician or band their own creative choice, let them take on their own genre, and see where it goes. This leaves room for collaborations down the line, the tearing down of genre barriers, new perspectives of sound, and opportunity to build off of each other all while sharing the insights and life perspectives that their own music holds. We also encountered the unique opportunity of co-management by artist and producer, Eazy Makgobatlou in Rustenburg/Johannesburg, South Africa. This is how we manage to sign artists from all over the world. Only through collaborating do we find better living and happiness. Our purpose is to improve on our understanding of the world in finding new ways to live collectively and truly in equal harmony if that's at all possible. To do this, we must grow both as individuals and as a collective. We hope to leave behind records of life through the art of music so that the earth can prosper from what the past teaches. We aim for progress toward emotional content, equality in even the most difficult of life's hardships, and enjoyment in all else. Positivity is our goal, and music is our trade.
