Tracks like "Out of Time," "In This Condition" and "The Fray" feature fluid arrangements and thrilling dynamic changes, while "Here and Now" and the cautiously upbeat "Better Days" remind us that Staind is no stranger to likability - when appropriate, of course. Lyrically, "Confessions of the Fallen" again draws on the dark, reflective corners Lewis has always included in Staind songs, yet these ten tracks are more personal than ever. "I'm still dealing with my issues," Aaron says. "And in the meantime, I dream of better times. I hope everyone feels that way now... Better times are yet to come."
