There are many reasons for Suzi's enthusiasm for her latest release, twelve to be exact, as there are exactly a dozen songs on The Devil In Me, where every number from the opener/title track to the closing "Motor City Riders" is a real highlight. The reasons for Suzi's remarkable creative momentum: on the one hand, the lockout that has prevented her from her usual gigging life since spring 2020, on the other, the renewed collaboration with son Richard Tuckey that worked so well on predecessor No Control. Suzi: "Almost 100 of my concerts have been cancelled since spring 2020 and Richard would actually be on the road with his band as well if all the shows hadn't been cancelled or postponed. So I told him we should use the time off to write new songs and take inspiration from what's going on in the world right now." "I knew Richard and I were a great team because No Control was a huge success and a very special record for us. However, I didn't expect us to top it.
