The Last Shadow Puppets

The Last Shadow Puppets is a British supergroup formed in 2007, consisting of Alex Turner of Arctic Monkeys and Miles Kane, formerly of The Rascals. The duo is known for their orchestral sound and modern take on the baroque pop genre, heavily influenced by the music of the 1960s. Their debut album, "The Age Of The Understatement," released in 2008, was met with critical acclaim and featured the hit title track that showcased their signature style—a fusion of Turner's distinctive vocals and Kane's melodic guitar work, backed by lush string arrangements. After an eight-year hiatus, during which both artists focused on their respective projects, The Last Shadow Puppets returned with their sophomore album, "Everything You've Come To Expect," in 2016. This album continued to build on their unique sound and was followed by "The Dream Synopsis EP" later that same year, which included reworked versions of songs from their second album as well as a selection of cover tracks. The band's work has been recognized for its artistry and has contributed to the members' reputations as versatile musicians within the indie rock scene.
